Italy and Eataly

Giovedi, 21 Luglio 2011.

Ciao, arrivederci a presto! :-)

Thursday, 21st July 2011. Dear Friends, I understand the enthusiasm of who cannot resist, as soon as puts his feet down the 1st airplane landing from Atlanta, or Chicago or Washington, to run away, if he could, on his feet, to that wonderful and "notorius" triangle: Rome-Florence-Venice. This behaviour is widely justified and understandable. Nevertheless I MUST, absolutely MUST...bring you back to the RIGHT WAY and give you an excellent advise: leave that nice tour to the other passengers of the plane, because YOUR ITALY is NOT this. YOURS is the TRUE Italy!
The true Italy, my friends, is that whole of little towns, historical, wonderful and ancient included in a particular landscape of lake, mountain, seaside or valley plain of whom "the BOOT" ( as we call joking Italy) is full. In the provincial countryside life in a slow rhythm you can taste the real style of who lives in this land. Sure, does exsist also a metropolitan Italy, but believe me, the real soul is in the little towns where the people is devoted to his origins and traditions. To Walk downtown in the medieval center and then have a sit down and eat the good local cuisine with a good bottle of homemade wine... Every italian county can give you this chance hundreds of times, every time with DIFFERENT traditions. Of course having a chat nicely to the local people...otherwise your progresses in italian what are for? :-) The surprising and amusing thing for who does this experience is realize to have in front of himself a Country much more big and complex, incredible and interesting to visit... Having this experience, WHO IS NOT of italian origin, can love much more this Country. Having this experience, WHO IS of italian origin, can be always even much more proud of his origin.

Ciao, see you soon! :-)

Sunday 17th July 2011 Dear friends, When you speak about Italy you never know where you can start... Italy is a world which is opening itself to the turists in every kilometer of its territory, it is a concentrate of everything exsists in Europe and about her Peoples. Here Geography, History and Demography have accomplished their greatest action: Create a Country moulding the greatest differences that could be found in the Old Continent. The greatest and snowed mountains of Europe have been sealed to the fruitful padan plain, crossed by the sweet river Po (Padus in Latin) till the Adriatic Sea. The Appennines form the backbone of a peninsula rich of scents and colors which penetrate in the Mediterranean till touch marine environments unique as in Sicily and Sardinia. Tens of Peoples in milleniums of History have formed a picture of traditions, habits and customs, cuisine and arts that cannot avoid to bewitch everyone who decide to live the experience to breath completely the italian atmosphere. This is not a touristic guidebook or a language lesson... This is the invitation to live a lifestyle. Step by step...from week to week...from month to month...follow me and we are going to leave together. :-)
