Learning Italian a little at a time

The philosophy here is to learn Italian in very small steps that are manageable for the typical busy lifestyle that the majority of us live today. In keeping with that philosophy we have put together an online curriculum incorporating printable pages, crosswords, videos, online exercise and more in an easy to use online format. All of this material is free online to anybody who would like to make use of it.

This page will serve as a guide, placing our online courses in the order in which we would recommend that you take them. Naturally there are always exceptions such as those who already know some Italian so feel free to start where you feel comfortable starting.

It is important to understand however that while we attempt to make these lessons comprehensive, there is a lot to learning a new language and there are a lot of good resources available today. For this reason suggested reading and other materials are mentioned periodically.

Enhanced Italian Pronunciation	I would personally recommend that anybody who does not already understand the pronunciation rules for Italian start by going through this class
Enhanced Beginner's Italian I	If you have been wanting to learn Italian and know the basic principles of Italian pronunciation, this is likely the class for you. We start off very basic with a quick review of Italian pronunciation and alphabet and slowly lay a sure foundation on which you will be able to go on to learn this beautiful language. This class includes online exercises, embedded videos, vocabulary, podcasts, printable learning crosswords and more.
Enhanced Italian Verbs I	This class includes detailed review/instruction of the present tense and then proceeds to teach the future, imperative and three of the Italian past tenses as well as a variety of irregular Italian past participles. This class can definitely increase your capability to express yourself more precisely in Italian and includes online exercises, embedded videos, vocabulary, podcasts, printable learning crosswords and more.
Enhanced Comprehensive 2 Italian	I would personally recommend that anybody who has taken Beginner's 1 and Verbs 1 already and has a desire to further their Italian language skills. This class builds on the foundation laid in the Beginner's class using the same format. It's the logical next step.
Enhanced Italian Verbs 2	Verb 2 covers some of the more advanced but widely used verb tenses in Italian. It focuses solely on learning how to conjugate verbs in these tenses and if applied properly can lead you to yet another level in your quest to learn Italian. This is a course that can benefit anybody having already gone through the beginner and verb 1 class or who already knows a fair amount Italian but not all of the tenses that we will be covering.
